A beautifully weird and ambitious book imagining a new kind of software interface. Kirkwood dreamt of a “color-based semantic framework” to replace the dominant WIMP paradigm. Source’s visual language emerged from a similar impulse of mine, but Kirkwood crystallized it better than I could.
